Le théâtre de rue: un théâtre de l’échange
Creators: Charlotte Granger (textes réunis par), Véronique Lemaire et Anne Wibo (assistés de), Marcel Freydefont
| Contents/Chapters: Although street art has become a singular and identifiable genre, particularly in Europe over the last thirty years, it is first and foremost theater. Yet it seems essential to consider that theater only exists in exchange with life, with the city, with the audience. Street theater is a good example of this, which in turn questions the state of the theater. In the course of interviews with street theater figures and considerations from informed observers, the reader will note the words, motifs, experiences and discoveries that help define the landscape of a street theater that is transforming before our very eyes. This issue takes a dual approach. On the one hand, it continues the series of reflections launched by the journal Etudes théâtrales in recent years on current changes in the theater, considering developments in dramaturgy, staging, acting, scenography and architecture. On the other hand, it is based on one of Europe's leading street theater festivals, the Aurillac Festival. | Materials: 312 p.; ill. in black; 24 cm
