This desire has given rise to publications under the Figures label, aimed at all puppet enthusiasts, whether professionals, amateurs, teachers, artists, socio-cultural or institutional players. The subject is inexhaustible and can sometimes lead to surprising reflections. Some thirty puppet professionals - authors, manipulators, playwrights and theater directors - from all over Europe were invited to reflect on the relationship between writing a play and staging it. The aim of this book is to give as accurate an account as possible of what the participants had to say during the two-day meeting.
