Carte postale - Jacques Cartier à la découverte du Canad
Creators: Grimbert Impression
Postcard Recto: The image shows a blue sky in the background, a stretch of water, and a piece of land to the right on which stands a building with three towers. A boat is visible in the center of the image. In front of it, on dry land, is a grey stone wall on the left and, on the right, a stone building with a closed door, a lantern above, and an inscription above the door reading "Au Dauphin d'Argent". On the boat, a string puppet depicts a bearded man, dressed in a long black and white outfit, and wearing a black hat. On the upper part of the boat, another string puppet depicts a red-haired, bearded man wearing a purple sleeveless garment and a blue hat. On land, in front of the stone wall, a puppet with a white beard is dressed in a short-sleeved black jacket with purple lining. He wears black and gold shorts and a black headdress. Just to the left, on the same level, is a wooden plank linking the boat and the mainland, and a rectangular yellow box just beside it. In front of the inscribed building, a string puppet in a red headdress sits on a pile of coiled rope, resting his left hand on a cylindrical wooden box. Just to the left, a standing puppet is dressed in a pink dress, over which a short-sleeved blue dress with lacing on the front is superimposed. She also wears a white cloth that hides part of her hair and falls back.
