Postcard Recto: The background and floor of the image are black. Two string puppets occupy the center of the photo. The puppet on the left is in the split position, with one leg on each side. The puppet on the right is slightly behind. His legs are bent to either side, but only his right leg is visible. Both figures point their hands upwards. They are identical. They are wearing gold headdresses topped with seven purple pompoms. Their moustaches are divided into two long, symmetrical strands on either side of their noses. They are dressed in a black habit with gold patterns and piping, as well as long white socks and black shoes with pointed toes.
