Figurine homme tribale africain
Creators: Carlo Spéder
Figurine representing a man, possibly from an African tribe. He wears a black-painted wooden hat composed of several distinct elements: a blue ribbon adorned with pearls, followed by a red disk painted on the edge, then three smaller disks whose thickness is painted white. At the top, a structure evoking a volcano is decorated with red and white lines. A white plastic stem tops the whole, supporting a tuft of turquoise-dyed hair. At the back of his head, on his shoulders and at the junction of his hips, are long tufts of hair reminiscent of platinum-blond fur with warmer highlights at the ends. The shoulders are also adorned with feathers of the same hue. His face and body are painted a cool brown. He wears tribal make-up and has raised eyes with blue lids. His spherical wooden nose and red "O"-shaped mouth reveal a white interior. His cardboard ears are painted brown. His neck, represented by a wooden ball, is adorned with two necklaces: one white, the other longer and multicolored. The whole is articulated. His torso is bare, and his arms and legs show keloid scarring, i.e. raised marks. On each of his limbs, there is a flat iron spiral bracelet with three or four levels, as well as a colored plastic bracelet: blue for the right arm, green for the left arm, red for the right leg and yellow for the left leg. His iron hands are curved. Around his waist, he wears a blue, red and white striped loincloth, embellished with three rows of multicolored pearl necklaces. His wooden feet are carved with precision, illustrating the natural curves and details of the toes, adorned with painted nails. The soles of the feet are spiked, but the figurine has no base.
