Figurine de danseur doré
Creators: Carlo Spéder
Figurine depicting an extravagant dancer whose colorful, highly decorative metal gear might suggest ritual or festival attire. The hat is composed of several layers. The first part features a flat iron disk, the edges of which form raised petals. Underneath, fabric bangs emerge: those on the sides take up the aged golden color of the helmet, while those at the back are silver. The second tier is a painted wooden bead, adorned at its center with a silver rhinestone. Above, two painted wooden oval beads frame an eight-pointed star, the ends of which are first curved downwards before scrolling upwards. A transparent green plastic tip protrudes from the top. The face, in pink-painted wood, features a triangular nose. The figure has wavy eyebrows, fine almond-shaped eyes and a shy, cracked smile revealing a tooth. The neck is a damaged, articulated wooden bead of the same color. His torso and left shoulder pad, made of iron with a turned-up tip, are the same color as his hat. His torso is decorated with rhinestones around the chest and navel. Arms and legs are wrapped in patterned red fabric. Gold bangs are present at the elbows, knees and front of the waist, while the rest of the waist is wrapped in silver bangs. Rows of colorful pearls are found on the hat, torso, forearms and waist. Her pointed feet are made of iron. Spiral bracelets encircle her wrists and ankles. His left foot is twisted. Its wooden base is covered with a red and beige damask fabric and wrapped in a red and dark blue fabric with geometric and floral motifs.
