String puppet head from Myanmar. Large pointed hat with brim featuring green and red dots. The hat extends down over the ears. The head is made of white-painted wood, with facial features painted black, including a red mustache and mouth. There is a faint red line around the neck. Two holes at the back of the neck. The back of the head is flat. Chips on the nose and edges of the hat. Purchased in Myanmar (formerly Burma) in 2007 at a flea market near Inle Lake
